End of Life Doula Support

As a Doula, my role is to guide and support a dying person, family, friends, and caregivers in a way that promotes a good dying experience as defined by the dying person and those most intimately involved in their care. This can involve life review and legacy work, planning a vigil for final days, and support and guidance during an active vigil.  After a death, I meet with families to process the dying experience, share stories and provide education on what to expect throughout the grieving process.

I am a passionate advocate of self determination and our right to make fully informed decisions, especially when it comes to our final days.  For those exploring Medical Aid in Dying in California, I offer extensive experience in navigating this law, facilitating conversations around choosing this option, and being present at time of ingestion for support.

I am honored to share this intimate time with my clients. I decided to become an EOL Doula as I realized my beloved role as Hospice Social Worker did not allow me to spend the quality time that was often needed to truly offer the presence and support at such a transformative time in people’s lives as they face their own death.  We each have our own unique stories from our entrances into this world; and I hope to help others on their journey as they shape and experience this final chapter and work towards their end of life goals.  This is heart-centered work, and I aim to always lead from a place of curiosity and humility in being allowed to share in this profound and intimate time of life.

Vigil planning and legacy work can be done via telehealth. Vigil support is generally conducted  in-home. Hourly and package rates are available and can be discussed more during a free consultation.
